At a Glance...

British Airways Euroflyer, also known as BA Euroflyer, is a subsidiary of British Airways founded in 2021. Based at London Gatwick, it operates short-haul services across Europe. As a newly established airline preparing for its 2022 launch, BA Euroflyer required a large-scale aviation volume recruitment campaign to build its operational workforce from the ground up.

To support this rapid ramp-up, BA Euroflyer partnered with AeroProfessional to deliver a structured aviation volume recruitment programme, sourcing and onboarding cabin crew and operational personnel at scale ahead of launch.

The Situation...

With the summer season rapidly approaching, BA Euroflyer needed to significantly increase cabin crew numbers to support its planned 2022 schedule. The airline set a target to hire 175 cabin crew members ahead of peak operations.

Recognising the scale and time sensitivity of the requirement, BA Euroflyer sought specialist support in aviation volume recruitment to deliver a structured, high-output hiring campaign capable of screening, assessing and onboarding candidates efficiently within a compressed timeframe.

AeroProfessional specialises in aviation volume recruitment campaigns, supporting airlines with large-scale workforce builds during periods of growth, launch or seasonal expansion. With extensive experience delivering high-volume cabin crew recruitment across competitive markets, AeroProfessional provides scalable resourcing strategies designed to meet defined headcount targets without compromising quality.

The Solution...

Working in partnership, AeroProfessional and BA Euroflyer developed a tailored aviation volume recruitment strategy. This included detailed workforce planning, targeted marketing campaigns and structured assessment processes to attract and convert suitable cabin crew candidates at scale.

Following completion of the initial screening stages, AeroProfessional shortlisted candidates in line with BA Euroflyer’s defined cabin crew criteria and coordinated structured virtual assessment events. These assessments launched in December 2021 with up to 25 attendees per day and continued throughout 2022, ensuring a consistent pipeline of candidates within the aviation volume recruitment campaign.

This scalable assessment model enabled BA Euroflyer to maintain flexibility and cost efficiency while delivering high-volume hiring without compromising quality or candidate experience.

As a trusted aviation volume recruitment partner, AeroProfessional was granted access to BA Euroflyer’s internal recruitment systems, allowing seamless process management while maintaining British Airways’ established brand standards. This integration provided full transparency across all stages of the recruitment lifecycle.

In parallel, AeroProfessional delivered ongoing marketing analytics and campaign performance reporting, enabling proactive adjustments to attraction strategy and application flow. This data-led approach ensured the aviation volume recruitment programme remained responsive to market conditions and aligned to headcount targets.

The Results...

AeroProfessional played a pivotal role in enabling BA Euroflyer to achieve its aviation volume recruitment targets in time for the 2022 summer season. By leveraging structured high-volume hiring processes, the airline benefited from a streamlined recruitment, assessment and onboarding model that reduced time-to-hire and controlled campaign costs. As a result, BA Euroflyer met its cabin crew headcount objectives and launched its summer schedule with full operational readiness.

To address recruitment challenges and internal attrition, AeroProfessional conducted detailed market benchmarking to assess role competitiveness within the UK cabin crew market. Insights from this analysis informed revised terms and conditions, strengthening the airline’s employee value proposition and delivering a measurable uplift in application volumes within the aviation volume recruitment campaign.

The partnership extended beyond the initial ramp-up phase. Through continued collaboration into early 2024, AeroProfessional remained embedded within BA Euroflyer’s recruitment framework, participating in monthly planning meetings and refining assessment materials and onboarding processes. This ongoing aviation volume recruitment support ensured the programme remained efficient, data-led and aligned to evolving operational demands.
